Where my story
as a celebrant began…
On 9th December 2017 the right to Marry in Australia was no longer determined by sex or gender – I decided on that date that I wanted to become a Marriage Celebrant.
Not only for same sex couples but for all people. Everyone deserves the right to have a special, memorable day that is a pure reflection of their love, and I am so honoured to have the opportunity to be a part of that!
What once started as an obsession for planning surprise parties and events for family and friends has turned into a career and passion. I cannot help but want to ensure the excitement and fun is a huge part of your day. Ceremonies should tell your story and I’m here to help!
Like people, no two ceremonies are the same. The most exciting and rewarding part of my role is bringing your dreams to life. To ensure your ceremony reflects your personalities, relationship and vision for the day is my highest priority. I can promise to be honest, genuine, and dedicated to ensuring your ceremony is everything you’ve imagined it to be. I pride myself on being approachable and kind and will always communicate with you clearly. I cannot wait to get to know you and make your dreams a reality.

AVA
I'm Ava, a celebrant based here in Sydney, and I absolutely love what I do!
Becoming a celebrant was a dream I've had forever, but it truly clicked when some dear friends asked me to officiate their wedding. It was like a lightbulb moment.
I've always been a passionate storyteller, even from a young age. I used to badger my parents for the details of how they met and fell in love, over and over again. My love for stories led me into acting and directing initially, but now I pour that passion into crafting beautiful, personal ceremonies for couples like you.
Approaching each ceremony with warmth, empathy, and a deep sense of responsibility is at the heart of what I do. I really take the time to get to know each couple, because understanding your story helps me create a ceremony that's uniquely yours.
With a decade of experience as a chef and four years in the wedding industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. Whether it's crafting heartfelt ceremonies or creating memorable experiences through food, I'm all about bringing people together in joyous celebrations.
When I'm not busy creating dream ceremonies, you'll often find me sitting up at the bar at Cafe Paci, enjoying a few oysters and a martini, or hosting friends on a Sunday, serving salty anchovies on toast and my Nonna's tiramisu. I also love catching a film at The Ritz with my love, Dominic, — I love filling my days with food, friends, and sharing stories.
Anyway, enough about me, let's talk about you!

KATIE
MARRIAGE CELEBRANT & MC
I'm Katie, I have always been an absolute lover of words, in the most nerdy way possible. Growing up I would always have my head in a book or be listening to the most dramatic love songs out there, living in an absolute world of my own. Then, when I reach my 20's I was lucky enough to stumble upon my very own real-world love story when I met my husband - that’s when the fun really started to begin, because I got to plan a wedding!
I fell in love with the entire production of it all - the joy, the beauty, the love in the air. I can honestly say that my wedding day was the best day of my life, despite the fact it flash-flooded, requiring the SES to join as guests for the night. I walked away in complete awe of my wonderful vendors, whose spirits never wavered and who helped to gift me the most beautiful memories. That’s when I thought - hey, what if I can help give that feeling to someone else? So here I am - ready to work with you to create your very own fairytale.
When I’m not officiating, you can usually find me at home watching reality television with my three cats (Olive, Theodore and Hazel), or at a group fitness class with my friends. I love anything that makes me laugh and am partial to a pink gin (or two) - and most nights, you’ll find me on the dancefloor! But mostly, I love meeting new people and getting to know their stories – which is why I feel so fortunate to have my current job.
I like to say I'm a love story tour guide because I like to take your guests on a journey through storytelling, painting with all of the colours of your love. I am passionate about getting to know you as individuals and creating a unique ceremony for each couple I work with, because your day really should be all about you.
I am passionate about creating magical memories for my couples and their guests – so, please, tell me more about your vision for your big day!
